I found a website for preschoolers from ages 2-6 called: ABC Home Preschool www.abchomepreschool.com it's a website started by a mom surfing the internet to find preschool training. Although targeted for homeschooling, I thought it was quite interesting and informational. The website includes educational products you could purchase, downloadable curriculum and online resources, online courses fo r parents, and FREE printable activity pages for coloring , crafts, P.E., music, and Bible. What's neat is they even have a blog, for parent to post and share their insights!

This website include literacy related links such as book clubs, educational websites, libraries, online bookstores, special literacy resources and reading related websites; where I found ReadingAnswers.com. This is a great site to promote reading. It has tips for parents and teachers as well as literacy resources and forums. Forums include hot topics such as ADHD, Parent Involvement and School Safety to name a few. You must be a member though, to post on the forums.

Starfall is an interactive website made for young learners that promotes literacy, from phonics to actual reading. It is divided into 4 parts: 1. ABCs, 2. Learn to Read, 3. It’s Fun to Read, and 4. I’m Reading. Part 4 is like “virtual” Shared Reading, a strategy taught to struggling readers. It was created especially for homeschoolers, preschoolers, special education and ESL students in grades K-2. I especially like that it is user-friendly and a lot of fun!
